Close to everywhere, far from trouble.

We are in Rua São Clemente, the main street of the Botafogo, a middle-high class neighbourhood with cultural tradition, and close to Ipanema, Copacabana and Centro. At the end of the street you can see the Christ Redeemer with the arms opened for you. At your right, as you leave the hostel, you can admire the Sugar Loaf.

Soon you will realize why cariocas living in this area wouldn't even consider moving to any other part of town. There are three big shopping malls that you can go in a short walk (2min), and the nearby streets have all kind of shops: newstands, drugstores, restaurants, rodízios (where you eat as much as you can), barbecue houses, post office in the corner, cultural router –cinema exhibition, laundry services, handcraft stores, supermarkets, banks of all flags: Banco do Brasil, HSBC and dozens more in a very short walking distance. All kinds of stores you can imagine.

Copacabana beach is the next metro stop (or a 10 min. walk) and Ipanema gets only five minutes further. We also have our very own beach, Praia de Botafogo, where you can have fun playing soccer, jogging, cycling (bike path from Flamengo to Ipanema), reading, or just (!) watching an amazing view of sunrise over the Sugar Loaf.

Another good point is that the prices, in general, are at least 20% cheaper than in other areas for the stores do not mark up their prices for tourists. And safety is much higher than in Ipanema or Copacabana areas.
